Kandinsky Composition No. 8 Cluster Style Dangle Earrings
"Color is the keyboard, the eyes are the hammers, the soul is the piano with many strings. The artist is the hand that plays, touching one key or another purposely, to cause vibrations in the soul." ~ Wassily Kandinsky, The Effect of Color, 1914
These cluster-style earrings are an art and/or music lover's dream. The imagery is inspired by Wassily Kandinsky's painting Composition 8, painted in 1923 and currently housed at the Guggenheim. This painting has been described as a "synthesis of Russian abstraction paired with Kandinsky's own lyrical style." It reflects Kandinsky's lifelong love of music, which influenced his work throughout his career.
