Gustav Klimt Judith Cluster-Style Dangle Earrings
"I can paint and I can draw. I believe this myself and a few other people say that they believe this too. But I'm not certain of whether it's true." ~ Gustav Klimt.
2" long including 14k gold filled ear wire. Can be made longer. Click here for more information.
These earrings were inspired by Gustav Klimt's 1901 painting, "Judith and the Head of Holofernes." It has been noted that in this painting Judith "exudes a magnetic fascination, a heroine with the bewitching and charming ladies described by symbolist artists and writers such as Wilde, Moreau, and others."
In creating these earrings, I was drawn to the intricate blue and gold patterning of Judith's robe. To me, it perfectly reflects the elegance and grace of the Art Nouveau era.
Durable, non-tarnish, great travelers. Clean with a soft damp cloth. Always apply spray-on hair products before putting on your jewelry.
